ALFDP Committees
Annual Conference Committee
Collaborate with the Vice President, a Board-approved event planner, and Conference Committee subcommittees (Programming, Venue, Fundraising/Sponsorship, and Volunteers) to plan and deliver ALFDP’s annual conference. Responsibilities include tracking attendance, managing budget considerations, and preparing post-conference reports reflecting outcomes and attendee feedback.
Audit Committee
Conduct biannual and annual reviews of the organization's financial records and required tax filings. The Committee helps ensure ALFDP maintains the financial resources and reserves necessary to support its programs, mission, and long-term sustainability, while promoting sound governance and avoiding conflicts of interest.
Elections Committee
Oversee the nomination of Board members in accordance with ALFDP’s bylaws and manage the election process conducted in connection with the annual conference.
Finance Committee
Under the leadership of the Treasurer, provide financial oversight of the organization, including review of monthly financial statements, financial reporting, and required tax filings. The Committee also plays a key role in developing the annual budget.
Governance Committee
Review and make recommendations to the Board regarding the organization's governance structures and practices, including bylaws, policies, and procedures, to support effective leadership and organizational integrity.
Membership Committee
Make recommendations to the Board regarding membership qualifications, support new member orientation and engagement, and develop resources and guidance that enhance the member experience.
Social Media and Communications Committee
Oversee and administer ALFDP’s social media presence and website, and monitor the effectiveness of external communications. In collaboration with the Board and any external public relations or media resources, the Committee develops and implements a cohesive communications strategy and creates content suitable for digital and online platforms.
Strategic Partnerships Committee
Build and maintain relationships with external organizations and individuals whose values and objectives align with those of the organization. The Committee supports and advances collaborative initiatives that emerge from these partnerships.
Programming Committee
Design and deliver relevant, timely programming throughout the year, including the designated Monthly Member Meetings (M3). The Committee works to identify engaging speakers and develop materials that support learning, connection, and professional growth.

ALFDP committees are led by a Chair or Co-Chairs appointed by the ALFDP President and supported by member volunteers. All ALFDP members are eligible and encouraged to serve.
