Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals Elects 2025 Board of Directors

The Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP), a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) in the legal profession, announces the election of its 2025 Board of Directors. The Board is comprised of law firm diversity professionals from across the country. The newly elected officers and their position on the Board of Directors:
President Elect: Mark Bunbury – Proskauer Rose, LLP, Chief Diversity Officer (effective January 2025) (New York, NY) (term as President to begin January 2026)
Vice President: LaNitra Webb – O’Melveny & Myers LLP, Senior Manager of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (San Francisco, CA)
Board Member-At-Large: Bendita Cynthia Malakia – O’Melveny & Myers LLP, Director of Diversity & Engagement (Washington, DC)
Board Member-At-Large: Symone Martin – Jackson Lewis P.C., Sr. Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Specialist (Kansas City, MO)
Parliamentarian: Pearl Brady – Ogletree Deakins Nash Smoak & Stewart, P.C., Senior DEI Coordinator (New York, NY)
Remaining on the Board of Directors to complete their two-year term:
President: J. Danielle Carr – Lowenstein Sandler LLP, Chief Officer of Inclusion (Greater Metropolitan New York, NY)
Secretary: Yoonhwi Cho – K&L Gates LLP, Senior Global Diversity & Inclusion Manager (Houston, TX)

Board Member-At-Large: Jennifer Mencarini – Fox Rothschild, LLP, Director of Diversity and Inclusion (Greensboro, NC)
“I am honored to continue to lead this organization alongside these talented and experienced professionals,” said J. Danielle Carr, President of ALFDP and Chief Officer of Inclusion at Lowenstein Sandler. “These board members are dedicated to supporting their fellow DEI professionals and promoting best DEI practices for the legal profession. Our work in 2025 will continue to advance ALFDP as the leading association for law firm diversity, equity, and inclusion professionals.”
“ALFDP is needed now more than ever, and I am honored to be selected to lead our next chapter at this critical time,” said Mark Bunbury, President Elect of ALFDP and recently promoted to Chief Diversity Officer (effective January 2025) at Proskauer Rose, LLP. “Over the next year, I look forward to continuing to support Danielle and our board while also spending time listening to valuable member feedback and preparing to step into the role of President in January 2026.”
The Association of Law Firm Diversity Professionals (ALFDP) seeks to serve as a catalyst for the advancement of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal profession through the organization’s collective knowledge, vision, expertise, and advocacy in the arena of law firm diversity.
